The Logan SWCD is a political subdivision of the
State of Ohio,
Department of Natural Resources,
Division of Soil
and Water Resources. Each one of Ohio’s 88 counties has a local district
office. The District was established by local election of the populace in 1943.
Each county soil and water conservation district is governed by five
volunteer supervisors who serve a three year term each. In Logan County,
the Supervisor election is held at the Annual Meeting each August. Individuals
who are interested in running for supervisor should contact the Logan SWCD
office for more details.
Funding for the Logan SWCD comes from the Logan
County Commissioners and then is matched with funds from the Division of
Soil and Water Resources. We would like to thank the Logan County Commissioners
for their continued support of our office and programs. Currently due to
budget constraints our office is working a reduced number of hours per week.
If you are planning to stop by the office for assistance you may want to call
first to ensure the employee you need to speak with will be available. The
Logan SWCD office is open Monday-Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm.
