Environmental Health Division

The mission of the Environmental Health Division is to protect the Logan County community’s health from physical, chemical and biological hazards through inspection, surveillance, and education. 

Protecting Your Health
The Environmental Health Division is involved in a wide range of programs that have the potential to impact the health and welfare of the citizens within Logan County’s Health District.

These programs deal with a variety of issues, including:
  • The food we eat
  • The water we drink
  • The air we breathe
  • The soil around our homes
  • The disposal of wastes
  • The way we affect the health of those around us
Staff Recognition
Dr. Boyd Hoddinott completed a Masters in Public Health with his culminating project entitled Horizontal Subsurface Flow Constructed Wetlands for On-site Wastewater Treatment (PDF).  His research was published by Wright State University, School of Public Health.

Darin Cozatt, RS, MS wrote Conducting an Indoor Air Quality Investigation Using Phase Assessment (PDF) that was published in the May / June, 2008 Ohio Journal of Environmental Health.
